LATISSE® solution is a once-a-day treatment you apply topically to the base of your upper eyelashes, as instructed by your doctor. Then, gradually, the results come in. You may start to see more length in as little as 4 weeks and you should achieve full growth in 16 weeks. It's not an illusion of growth. It's your own eyelashes — only better.

Anderson Center for Sight - Services/Eye Conditions - Detached Retina - If you have a family history of retinal detachment or have experienced a previous retinal detachment in your other eye, you are at an increased risk.

The most common type of detachment occurs when a tear or hole forms in the retina, allowing fluid from the middle of the eye to flow underneath. This causes the layers of the retina to separate. Since it is responsible for detecting light entering the eye and sending nerve signals to the brain about what the eye sees. If the retina detaches, it no longer works properly. This causes vision loss in the affected area.

Anderson Center for Sight - Services/Eye Conditions - Diabetic Exams & Laser - It is important to have your eyes checked annually if you have been diagnosed with diabetes. Diabetic eye disease is much easier to manage the earlier it is diagnosed and treated.

Diabetic retinopathy is an eye disease affecting the retina and is a frequent complication of diabetes. Diabetes damages the small blood vessels in the retina and can lead to poor vision and even blindness. During the early stages, the tiny blood vessels in the eye weaken. The blood vessels develop small bulges that may burst and leak into the retina and into the gel-like fluid inside the eye called the vitreous gel. As the condition progresses, new fragile blood vessels grow on the surface of the retina, impairing vision. This is called proliferative retinopathy.

Anderson Center for Sight - Services/Eye Conditions - Glaucoma & Laser - Glaucoma most often occurs in adults over age 60, but it can also occur in young adults or children and is more common in those of African descent.

Glaucoma is a potentially blinding eye condition that manifests in different ways. Because the signs, symptoms, and treatment of the different types of glaucoma are so varied, one person with glaucoma may have sudden pain and redness, while another may have no symptoms at all.

Anderson Center for Sight - Services/Eye Conditions - Macular Degeneration - The primary risk factor for AMD is advancing age, with incidence steadily increasing after 50 years of age with a greater increase in those more than 75 years old.

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is an eye disease that destroys central vision by damaging the macula, a small area at the back of the eye. The macula provides color and the fine detail needed for central vision. AMD makes it increasingly difficult to read, drive and recognize faces.

Anderson Center for Sight - Services/Eye Conditions - Tearing/Epiphora - Anderson Center for sight treats Tearing/Epiphora in children and adult patients.

Tearing in young children can be caused by a nasolacrimal duct obstruction. This is generally due to a membrane that remains after birth. Many times the tearing will go away with time, but after 12 months of age it may be necessary to perform a lacrimal probe to open the membrane allowing tears to flow normally. Tearing can also be a sign of pediatric glaucoma, which can be very serious. If your child is experiencing tearing they should be seen to evaluate for the above conditions.
